Delete your Cereby account
Last updated: September 9, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your Cereby account and the data associated with it. It applies to the Cereby app for Android and iOS and to the web app at cereby.ai.
Delete your account from inside the app
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, without contacting us:
- Open Cereby and sign in.
- Open the profile menu and choose Settings.
- Go to the Security tab.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. Any active subscription is canceled as part of the same step, so you are not billed again.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot reach that control — for example, you have lost access to your account — email privacy@cereby.ai from the address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify the request and delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- Account information — your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier.
- Content you created — notes, notebooks, documents, chats, transcripts, study materials, flashcards, quizzes, and exams.
- Files you uploaded or generated — PDFs, audio, video, and images, together with any text extracted from them.
- Calendar data — cached Google Calendar events and the stored OAuth tokens, which are revoked at the same time.
- Coin balance and subscription records, including any unused coins. These have no cash value and are not refundable.
- Share links you created for conversations or notes, which stop resolving for anyone who holds them.
What is kept, and for how long
- Backups may still contain deleted data for up to 30 days, until they are purged on the standard backup rotation.
- Logs and analytics are retained for up to 90 days from the date they were recorded, then deleted or anonymized.
- Payment and transaction records are held by our payment processors (Stripe, Apple, and Google) and are retained by them for the period their own tax and accounting obligations require. We do not keep a separate copy after deletion.
Delete some data without deleting your account
You do not have to close your account to remove data from it. Inside Cereby you can:
- Delete individual notes, notebooks, documents, chats, and uploaded files from the screen each one appears on.
- Revoke a share link from the share dialog for that conversation or note.
- Disconnect Google Calendar from Settings → Integrations, which deletes the cached events and revokes the stored tokens immediately.
For anything you cannot remove yourself, email privacy@cereby.ai describing the data you want deleted. We will action the request within 30 days. The retention periods above apply to these requests in the same way.
